A very hot bank holiday was the setting for a preseason clash for Bournemouth Sports Ladies vs Sherborne Town Ladies. These teams met in pre season last year where Sherborne won the contest 6-0 (If I remember correctly), so Sports have a point to prove.
Both teams had a bag of mixed results for preseason with Sports winning 3, drawing 1 and losing 1, sports had a squad of mixed ability so a chance for the players to make a name for themselves. Sherborne hadn't managed to match last years impressive preseason run which left them unbeaten, having won two and lost two so far this year.
Sports found them selves 2-0 down at the half time break, so had plenty to do in the second half, as it was so hot the game was very stop start due to the water breaks which stopped both teams from getting into any rhythm.
Lots of changes at the break for both teams and Sherborne continued where they left off at the break and broke through and continued to score. Sports gave everything they could but with a few players missing and a few injured they just couldn't score.

After winning the Dorset League and Dorset League cup last season, Sherborne had a lot of talent on show and won the game 5-0.

Sherborne have a tough game in the FA cup preliminary round on the 1st of September at the Consol Stadium against Keynsham town. Sports face Winchester City at home at Chapel Gate in FA cup preliminary round on the same day.
Both teams are looking for players to join their squads, check them out on Facebook and get in contact if you are interested. Good luck to both teams for the rest of the season.
